After watching the videos on brain architecture, plasticity, and understanding the impact of the environment on a child, this information impact you as a teacher very deeply. The reason for this is because it allows me to realize that the brains of the population I work with aren't fully developed. Also, I have to be very patient with them because the maturation of the brain doesn't develop until 25.
Furthermore, I need to learn more about the elasticity of the brain so that I can design my instruction according to not only the child's needs but the state of their brain development.

ReplyDeleteIt is important for anyone working with teens to understand that their brains are not fully developed. It really is till their mid 20s (25).
This is also important information for parents too :o)
